JBL’s new Flip 5 speaker offers longer play time and can be used anywhere

JBL has unveiled its latest portable Flip Bluetooth speaker –  the Flip 5 –  which offers a longer battery life and more epic sound for an even greater experience no matter where you are.

The new JBL Flip 5 is just 18.1cm long, 6.9cm high and 7.4cm deep and weighs just 540g.

The product’s compact size makes it an ideal companion to go anywhere with you.

And it’s IPX7 waterproof and rugged rubber housing means it can handle travelling with you whether it’s to the beach or the mountains.

Audio quality has also been improved thanks to the new race track shaped drivers which increases the cone area and excursion to magnify the already impressive JBL signature sound.

JBL’s Flip 5 has 44mm x 80mm transducers with 20W RMS output.

PartyBoost allows users to pair to compatible JBL speakers together and create a stereo pair.

The JBL Flip 5 has an impressive 12 hours of battery life to keep the party going all day and into the night.

It has a new USB-C charging port and takes two and a half hours to fully charge the battery.

The JBL Flip 5 is available now  in 11 colours and is priced at $149.
