Modern technology gives us many things.

It’s World Emoji Day and Apple has released even more with iOS 17

Today is World Emoji Day and to mark the occasion Apple has released new emojis and Memojis for the iPhone that will be included with iOS 17.

July 17 is World Emoji Day because that was the date displayed on the original calendar emoji on iPhones.

Users who want the new emojis and Memojis right now can go ahead and download the iOS 17 public beta software.

The new Memoji stickers include – Halo, Smirk and Peekaboo – which can now be stuck to messages, photos and documents and more.

And these new Memojis can be used to create a Contact Poster and personalise how people see you when you’re calling them.

A global study by Fingerprint for Success shows that 88 per cent use emojis in the workplace – 45 per cent use them daily.

In fact, Australia took out the top spot when it came to using emojis in the workplace ahead of New Zealand and South Africa, Philippines, India and the US.

Emojis have also been found to improve connections (according to 93 per cent of respondents) and collaborations (86 per cent) and even boost productivity (72 per cent).
