Uniden’s latest UHF radios keep you connected and let you share your location

Uniden Australia has released two new UHF radios – the XTRAK 50 Pro and XTRAK 80 Pro – which can not only keep you connected anywhere but now also offer app-enabled location sharing functionality.

The XTRAK 50 Pro handheld and the XTRAK 80 Pro in-vehicle offer an industry first with the ability to share your location between a handheld and in-vehicle UHF radio.

It works with the XTRAK Bluetooth app which is available for iOS and Android so users can share the location of the radio.

It can also be used to manage your selective calling (Selcall) contacts and additional receive channels, access the settings controls and send in-app text messages.

With the app’s advanced positional tracking and location sharing features on your smartphone when connected to the UHF radio, you can talk to friends and colleagues and know their precise location.

If you’re in another vehicle with the XTRAK 80 Pro or mobile with the XTRAK 50 Pro, you’ll always be in contact and able to communicate and share your exact position.

Uniden location tracking works between the in-vehicle and handheld UHF radios to ensure both locations are accurate.

Also onboard the XTRAK 80 Pro is a large anti-glare OLED display and backlit keypad along with 2W speakers and four-level voice enhancers for improved sound clarity even in noisy environments.

And with Bluetooth on board, the XTRAK 80 Pro can connect to your vehicle’s audio speakers.

It also includes Uniden’s innovative one-touch instant replay feature which allows users to listen back to up to six minutes of recently received communications.

When taken off the mount, the XTRAK 80 Pro has up to 18km range while the XTRAK 50 Pro has a range of up to 17km.

The XTRAK 50 Pro also has an anti-glare OLED display which means it’s easy to read in any lighting conditions.
