MG’s new ZS EV – one of the best value electric vehicles in Australia

MG motor has unveiled its new ZS EV – one of the best value electric vehicles available in Australia with the entry level model priced below $45,000 drive away.

The Excite model is priced at $44,990 drive away while the more premium Essence model, which has several additional features, is still competitively priced at the drive away price of $48,990.

The MG ZS EV has had an exterior redesign and a revised front fascia to achieve a striking sleeker look while, under the hood, battery technology has improved to deliver higher range of 320km – that’s up from the 263km of the 2021 model.

But not only has the range improved but so has the speed of the charge thanks to new onboard charging capabilities that can achieve up to 80 per cent charging time in as little as 54 minutes when using 50 kW combined charging system (CCS).

The new MG ZS EV has retained the easy to access the front mounted charging port.

It also has LED lighting clusters in the front and rear to give the mid-sized electric SUV a look that will stand out on the road.

ZS EV also has a smart system on board, backed by Amazon’s AWS cloud-based system, which will make it possible to perform over the air software updates, control AC and door locking remotely and facilitate real-time navigation.

The onboard tech would also enable a Find My Car parking lot search feature while providing live weather updates and audio streaming from Amazon Music.

The MG ZS EV Excite and Essence models come in five colours including Brighton Blue Metallic, York White, Pebble Black, Sloan Silver Metallic and Diamond Red Metallic.
