Modern technology gives us many things.

Optus now offering build-your-own phone plans to suit your lifestyle

Optus is now offering customers the option of building their own plans so they can mix and match a range of features to suit their needs.

Customers can now choose how much monthly data, international call minutes and texts and roaming data their plan can include based on how they use their device and if they are travelling.

And there are no lock-in contracts which means customers can add or remove features from the plan each month to suit their lifestyle.

Customers can also choose to include a phone to pay off over up to three years or bring their own phone to the plan.

The Optus build your own options allow customers to vary data allowances, international calls and texts and international roaming data in zone one destinations.

On the website, customers can simply scroll along in these three different tiers to choose what suits them.

As it is adjusted the price will also vary.

Plan start at $45 a month with 30GB of data and go all the way to the maxed-out plan with 150GB, unlimited international calls and texts to 35 destinations and 4GB of data to use in zone one destinations for $91 a month.

But there are numerous options in between which can be changed month-to-month to suit work and travel plans.

“Today we are excited to be sharing with Australia our new mobile plans, which represent true choice and flexibility for our customers,” says Matt Williams, manager and director

Marketing and revenue at Optus.

“We have listened to our customers and we have created the ability for all Australians to choose a plan that suits their needs or simply build their own.”

Optus has also offered four prebuilt plans which offer value and simplicity as well as value inclusions like Apple Music and Optus Sport.

These plans also now include data pooling which means you can share the data across eligible plans on the same account.

The telco has also unveiled a new plan offering called Optus One which is designed to offer the ultimate customer experience with 500GB data, dedicated one to one personal care, generous inclusions to use at home or when travelling including 10 GB data, exclusive content on Optus Sport and network priority.

The Optus One plan is priced at $119 month to month.

“These new plans ultimately provide customers with more choice than ever before with the ability to build their plan, flex inclusions and choose their device payment terms.” Williams added.

And all of these plans are Optus 5G ready with more than 300 live 5G sites which will grow to more than 1200 by March 2020.
