Crowne Plaza installs Tesla car chargers across its entire Australian network of hotels

Crowne Plaza has become the first hotel network to install Tesla destination charges at all of its properties in Australia and New Zealand to provide electric car owners with even more places to charge on their travels.

Tesla drivers can now travel through NSW, ACT, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia and New Zealand with the added peace of mind the chain of Crowne Plaza Hotels can provide a place for them to charge before they hit the road.

Owners can plug in on top of their batteries while staying at the hotel, enjoying the hotel’s facilities or attending an event.

There are two destination chargers at each Crowne Plaza location, which is part of the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), which can deliver between 40km and 80km of range per hour.

It could easily completely recharge a Tesla vehicle battery overnight.

When powered by 100 per cent Green Power, this means owners will have zero emissions charging.

Crowne Plaza took the initiative to install Tesla destination charges across its network so it could stay at the forefront of the sustainability conversation.

It also recognises the fact travellers are increasingly looking for ways to lower their carbon footprint when travelling.

The Tesla destination charges are available at all Crowne Plaza hotels including Crowne Plaza Terrigal,  Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley, Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley, Crowne Plaza Newcastle,  Crowne Plaza Melbourne, Crowne Plaza Canberra,  Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise, Crowne Plaza Alice Springs Lasseters, Crowne Plaza Perth, Crowne Plaza Auckland, Crowne Plaza Christchurch and Crowne Plaza Queenstown.
