Apple confirms date for Worldwide Developers Conference 2023

Apple has confirmed its 2023 Worldwide Developers Conference to showcase the new software features for the iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch will be kicking off on June 5 (June 6 AEST) in an online format with a special in-person event at Apple Park.

WWDC23 will run online from June 5-9, 2023, and will be free to all developers as they hear about the latest operating systems iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS.

It is here where developers can interact with Apple’s engineers and learn more about the new software innovations and tools to create the latest and updated apps.

“WWDC is one of our favourite times of the year at Apple because it’s an opportunity to connect with the talented developers from around the globe who make this community so extraordinary,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations.

“WWDC23 is going to be our biggest and most exciting yet, and we can’t wait to see many of you online and in person at this very special event.”

There will be an opportunity for developers and students to experience WWDC 2023 in person with a special experience on the opening day (June 5). Details on how to apply to attend can be found here.

Apart from keynote and State of the Union presentations, WWDC 2023 will also offer developers sessions, one-on-one labs and other chances to interact with Apple engineers and other developers.

WWDC23 will also support student developers through the Swift Student Challenge which is designed to encourage coders and developers of all ages.

Students worldwide can use the Swift Playgrounds app for iPad and Mac to create an app playground on a topic of their choice and submit their work before April 19.
