Garmin launches new Vivosmart activity band

vivosmart2Garmin has released the Vivosmart – its latest activity tracker which can also keep you connected to all of our notifications from your smartphone.

The sleek device has a hidden OLED display that is visible when showing incoming notifications.

The touchscreen can also display the time and date, steps taken and how close you are to your personalised activity goals.

Available in five colours, the Vivosmart has a lightweight curved band and an onboard rechargeable battery that can run for up to seven days.

The device is also waterproof and can be bundled with a heart rate monitored for even more detailed activity and exercise tracking.

Vivosmart uses vibration alerts for incoming emails, text messages, calls and calendar reminders from a smartphone connected to the device via Bluetooth.

It can even inform you of extended periods of inactivity and offers words of encouragement to keep you moving.

Information gathered by Vivosmart can be uploaded to Garmin Connect – the online portal that can help users organise their fitness data.

Vivosmart will be available in October in berry, purple, blue, black and slate in small or large band sizes.
