Swimply is Airbnb for luxury swimming pools where you can rent access by the hour

The sharing economy has expanded to backyard swimming pools with the relaunch of Swimply in Australia. It’s a marketplace where customers can rent access to luxurious private pools.

With summer around the corner, Swimply is giving Australians the option of finding a local escape that’s fun and affordable.

Not everyone can afford to escape the country on a luxury holiday following two years of the pandemic and the pressures of the rising cost of living.

For pool owners, Swimply offers a way to earn extra income when they become a host and rent out their pool on the platform.

Its costs on average between $2,400 and $4,800 a year to maintain a pool in Australia year-round.

Swimply rental prices for swimming pools start at $25 an hour.

The Swimply marketplace connects owners of underused private swimming pools and entertainment areas to customers who want to enjoy a staycation.

The Swimply app is available for both iOS and Android and connects customers to valuable swimming pools in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Perth, Adelaide and other regional areas.

Swimply was founded in 2019 and headquartered in Los Angeles where there are more than 25,000 pools on the platform.

To date, Swimply hosts have invited more than a million guests to swim in their pools.

To find a pool, simply download this Swimply app and search for pools in your area.

When you find something you like, put in a request and receive approval.

The app also makes it easy to chat with the host.

Once the booking is confirmed, the customer will have access to the exact address as well as entry and exit information and even the Wi-Fi password.
