Spotify rolls out new features to keep pace with your life and your exercise

Spotify, the popular music streaming service, has just launched new features to make it easier to find the right music for your mood and the right tempo of tunes for your run.

Spotify’s new Now start page can be your music director to help you find music that suits what you’re doing and the way you’re feeling.

Need a pick up on a Monday morning?

Spotify can serve up a playlist based on your tastes and listening habits.

Do you need to stay focused in the afternoon?

The Now start page can help you here as well with a selection from Spotify’s in-house experts and your personal collection.

But what about when it’s time to hit the road? It’s hard to find a playlist that’s going to match your pace and keep you motivated.

Spotify Running can now take care of that for you.

Users can find specialised playlists that are based on your listening history and include multiple genres along with original compositions from some of the world’s best DJs.

But the best part is Spotify can even detect your pace and match the music to keep time with your run.

Spotify Running is available now for iPhone users.

Later this year you’ll also be able to access Spotify Running through popular running apps like Nike+ and RunKeeper.

Spotify is adding even more features to the experience including video clips and audio shows to keep you entertained throughout the day and when you have a few spare minutes.

There are also entertainment news and clips from ABC, BBC, Comedy Central, Condé Nast Entertainment, ESPN, Fusion, Maker Studios, NBC, TED and Vice Media.
