Modern technology gives us many things.

Technics releases Super CD and digital music player that will cost you $5,499

Technics has released the SL-G700M2 – a super CD and digital music player packed with new technology that will allow audiophiles to enjoy true high-resolution audio.

This multi-digital player, available in black and silver, has been designed to play a wide range of various high-resolution formats.

It’s designed not only for fans of high-quality audio but for customers with big wallets as well we say price tag of $5,499

The device offers improved digital audio signal processing technology with the goal to achieve phase alignment and ideal pulse response which are essential ingredients for high fidelity reproduction.

Under the hood is the High Precision Coherent D/A Converter which converts digital values to audio signals with the highest accuracy before outputting them to an amplifier.

On the processing side, the SL G700M2 can minimise phase and amplitude deviations which occurs through the D/A conversion process for signals up to 192kHz PCM using proprietary DSP.

The result is a clearer and purer sound.

The player also has a Multi Stage Silent power supply which provides noise suppression in three stages: high speed switching power supply; low noise regulator and current injection active noise cancelling.

The techniques unit uses a high-speed switching power supply of about300 kHz which helps reduce noise interference on the music playback bandwidth.

A technique like active noise cancelling is also employed within the player and applies an inverse phase current to any detected noise to further reduce any interference.

The SL-G700M2 supports playback of the Super Audio CD high-quality disc format and includes a dedicated SA CD/CD pure disc playback mode which offers even more sound quality improvement.

In this mode, the player shuts off all circuit blocks apart from those required for Super Audio CD/CD playback which reduces internal noise and pumps up the sound quality.

The Technics player can decode and playback MQA files and MQA CDs.

It supports other high resolution formats including WAV/AIFF up to 384 kHz/32 bit, FLAC/ALAC up to 384 kHz/24 bit, and DSD up to 11.2 MHz file.

The SL-G700M2 has Chromecast and Airplay 2 built in to support a wide range of music streaming services.

It also has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity as well as USB-B port which provides a constant connection to a network audio server or PC to allow playback of high-resolution sound sources from that connected device.

And it’s all housed inside a chassis with the power supply, digital interface, analogue circuitry and disc drive sections that are independent of each other.

This prevents mutual interference between circuits that would otherwise degrade the sound quality.

The disc player itself has a three-layer chassis configuration and vibration damping and quiet construction.

The disc trays made of diecast aluminium for high precision disc playback.

The Technics SL-G700M2 is available now for $5,499.
