Bowers & Wilkins celebrates 60 years of James Bond with Px8 007 Edition headphones

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the first James Bond film Dr No, British audio brand Bowers & Wilkins has announced a partnership to create a bespoke version of the PX8 wireless headphones – the Px8 007 Edition.

Bowers & Wilkins have had a 40-year relationship with the James Bond franchise and the music from the films since its flagship 800 Series loudspeakers were used to monitor the recording of countless film scores in the Abbey Road Studios including Skyfall (2012) and Spectre (2015).

Recently, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the James Bond film franchise, Bowers and Wilkins loudspeakers were used in the Abbey Road Studios to help create Bond 25 an album featuring all 25 iconic bond themes.

The new Px8 007 Edition headphones have an elegant and timeless design, much like the dashing James Bond character himself.

The special edition headphones offer the high-performance wireless sound you come to expect from Bowers & Wilkins but adds visual detailing that stands them apart from the regular PX8.

These features include luxurious blue leather and aluminium, the iconic 007 logo, a red power button and the opening gun barrel image inside the left and right ear cups.

“We are immensely proud of our long-standing relationship with the James Bond franchise,” says Giles Pocock, Vice President of Brand Marketing, Bowers & Wilkins.

“Our new partnership gives us the perfect opportunity to highlight the close connection we’ve had with some of the iconic music of 007 over the years.

“Together, we will continue to celebrate the instrumental role that music plays in this global cultural phenomenon.”
The new Px8 007 Edition is priced at $1,299 and available now from select retailers.
