Modern technology gives us many things.

New Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II can personalise audio quality to suit your ears

Bose has revealed its new QuietComfort Earbuds II which can personalise audio and noise cancellation performance to the user to offer an even higher quality listening experience.

The Bose CustomTune sound calibration technology can analyse the unique shape of every ear and calibrate the earphones to deliver audio and noise cancellation that’s been personalised just for you.

The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II have been redesigned with each bud about s third smaller than the previous version and weighing less than 7g.

Also included is an EarTip Fit Kit which now includes a two-piece system with stability bands and tips that are interchangeable to ensure all-day comfort and a secure fit.

The charging case has also shrunk to a size that can now easily fit in your pocket.

“Since we brought noise cancellation to market, we’ve remained passionate about pushing boundaries in engineering, technology, and design — and the QuietComfort Earbuds II are the latest result of that commitment,” said Raza Haider, chief product officer for Bose.

“We believe in the power of sound — it can transport you to your favourite concert, evoke a meaningful memory, or simply brighten your mood. QC Earbuds II do exactly that.
They’re uniquely tuned to you — delivering immersive audio that brings you closer than ever to your content.”

CustomTune sound calibration technology uses a proprietary tone that’s played through a microphone inside the earbud so it can measure your ear canals acoustic response.

This information is then used to tweak the audio and noise cancellation performance.

And it can do all that in less than half a second.

The result is a sound frequency profile that suits the unique properties of your ear so the sound that hits your ear drum is exactly what the artist intended you to hear.

This CustomTune calibration also improves noise cancellation performance.

Now frequencies that were hard to reduce, like nearby voices, screaming babies, family distractions and other ambient sounds will now just disappear like they weren’t there.

And because it is always listening, CustomTune will react to changing noises in your environment, so you get the best level of noise cancellation possible.

Another benefit of CustomTune is an even better Aware Mode which lets in your surroundings and passes them through the earbuds so you can hear everything around you.

ActiveSense is a new feature that improves the transparency with just the right level of noise cancellation to reduce the noise as it happens.

The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II have four microphones in each bud which measure outside noise before being sent to a proprietary chip running an exclusive algorithm so the system can respond with a precise opposite signal in a fraction of a millisecond.

There are capacitive touch controls on both earbuds that allow users to play and pause their music as well as controlling volume, skipping tracks an answering and ending calls.

The earphones have Bluetooth 5.3 capability as well as an IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance.

Listeners have up to six hours of battery life with the case providing a further three additional charges.

A quick 20-minute charge will offer up to two hours of playback.

The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II will be available on September 29 in triple black and will be priced at $429.
