Modern technology gives us many things.

Apple’s new Fitness+ workout subscription service to launch on December 15

Apple will launch its latest subscription platform – Fitness+ –  on December 15 and bring personalised studio style workouts to your iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.

Fitness+ will also intelligently incorporate metrics from Apple Watch for a first of its kind experience that will allow users to exercise wherever and whenever is convenient to them.

Users will be able to observe their heart rate obtained from their Apple Watch on the screen their viewing whether it’s the iPhone, iPad or Apple TV.

Apple Fitness+ will launch with 10 of the most popular workout types which include high intensity interval training (HIIT), strength, yoga, dance, core, cycling, treadmill for running and walking, rowing and mindful cooldown.

The workouts will be led by a team of trainers who offer a welcoming approach with workouts set to inspiring music from the top artists.

Workouts will range in increments of 10, 20, 30 and 45 minutes.

“Being more active is one of the most important things we can do for our health, but we know choosing to work out can often be a challenge whether you’re very active or just getting started,” said Jay Blahnik, Apple’s senior director of Fitness Technologies.

“We’re excited for Apple Fitness+ to bring together the metrics from Apple Watch, great music, and a diverse and inspiring trainer team — in a uniquely simple, easy-to-access way across Apple devices — to encourage our users to get fit and stay healthy.”

Users are able to choose their trainer, length of workout and music in a few short steps.

And based on workouts previously completed, an intelligent recommendation engine can recommend your next workout and match what the user already enjoys so they can stick with something familiar.

Or  perhaps try something new or help them discover a new trainer or new workout to go with their current routine.

New content will be delivered across Fitness+ each week with a variety of trainers, times and music with workouts designed to suit all levels of fitness including those getting back into exercising and absolute beginners.

The Apple Fitness+ trainers have been chosen for their charisma and passion and abilities with the goal to inspire and motivate users.

Music plays a big part of Apple Fitness+ and users can choose from nine different styles including latest hits, chill vibes, upbeat anthems, pure dance, throwback hits, everything rock, Latin grooves, hip hop, R&B and top country.

You can even see the full workout playlist before they start.

Apple Fitness+  gives subscribers the ability to work out anywhere and anytime with the screen that best suits them whether it’s the iPhone and iPad or in front of their television with Apple TV.

And no matter where you choose to begin your workout, all of your personalised recommendations are synced across all your devices.

Most of the workouts require no equipment at all or just a set of dumbbells.

Cycling, treadmill and rowing workouts can be done using equipment from any manufacturer.

Apple Fitness+ will be available from December 15 and requires iOS 14.3, watchOS 7.2, iPadOS 14.3 and tvOS 14.3.

For Apple Watch users, Apple Fitness+ will automatically appear as a new tab in the fitness app on iPhone, the fitness app for iPad will be available to download from the App Store and on Apple TV, the fitness app will automatically appear once users upgrade to tvOS 14.3.

Apple Fitness+  will be available as a subscription service for $14.99 per month or $119.99 per year.

Apple Fitness+ is included in the Apple One Premier plan where available and also gives customers access to Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+ and 2TB of cloud storage for $39.95 per month and can be shared with up to six family members.
