AR Drone 2.0 has added and enhanced a number of features from the original including a high definition camera and video recording.

Revealed for the first time at the Consumer Electronics Show, AR Drone 2.0 even allows users to share the aerial videos and pictures captured on YouTube.

The AR Drone 2.0 app runs on the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad as well as any Android smartphone or tablet and uses the accelerometer on these devices to make it easier to pilot the device.

During flight the user gets a live video stream from the AR Drone 2.0 as if they are right there in the pilot’s seat.

Apart from recording high definition 720p resolution at 30 frames per second, it’s also possible to capture still images.

There’s also a Director’s Mode that makes it easy to program the AR Drone 2.0 to fly automatically so you can record the pictures and videos you want.

The AR Drone 2.0 will be released in the coming months in 2012.
