Modern technology gives us many things.

Amazon reveals new Kindle Scribe for reading and writing and improved Echo speakers

Amazon has unveiled the next generation of Echo smart speakers along with an all-new large screen Kindle for reading and writing.

KINDLE SCRIBE

The new Kindle Scribe allows users to read and write on the device.

It features the world’s first 10.2-inch 300ppi Paperwhite display and includes a pen that will never need recharging.

The Kindle Scribes’s front-lit and glare-free display has been designed to feel like you’re reading and writing on paper.

The Kindle Scribe is just 5.8mm thick and the included pen attaches magnetically to the side of the device.

It comes with a basic or premium pen which offer precise and responsive writing on the screen.

The premium pen includes a dedicated eraser on top and a customisable shortcut button so it can act as a pen or a highlighter or to open a new sticky note when pressed.

Notes and highlights can be stored in one place to keep your pages clutter free and numerous templates are available to create a variety of documents.

And like a regular Kindle, the Kindle Scribe also offers access to the Kindle Store to buy and download books in seconds.

The Kindle Scribe will go on a sale on November 30 and will be priced from $549 and will be available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants.

ECHO DOT AND ECHO DOT WITH CLOCK

The new Echo Dot and Echo Dot with Clock have been redesigned to offer better audio quality.

It now includes a custom full-range driver for clearer vocals and double the bass response.

And it’s all contained within the same spherical form factor.

Also onboard the new Echo speakers are new sensors that offer a more contextual Alexa experience which will enable even more intuitive smart home functionality.

For example, you can ask Alexa to turn on a fan when it gets to a certain temperature.

A new accelerometer adds tap gesture controls so you can touch the top of the speaker to pause and resume music.

The Echo Dot with Clock has an improved LED display with high density dot technology for a more vibrant result and an easier way to see the information.

As well as seeing the time, Echo Dot with Clock will now display song titles and artists names, the weather and the result of a calculation you asked for.

Echo Dot (5th Gen) will be available from October 20 in Charcoal, Glacier White and Deep Sea Blue for $79 while Echo Dot with Clock comes in Cloud Blue and Glacier White and is priced at $99.
