Lenovo releases Smart Display with Google Assistant onboard

Lenovo has launched its Smart Display with Google Assistant onboard in Australia which has a modern, minimalist design that includes a full high definition display and speaker to put all of power of Google within your reach at home.

The device comes in two screen sizes – 10-inch and 8-inch.

Having a speaker as well as a screen, the Lenovo Smart Display offers both impressive sound and video quality.

The screen allows users to see as well as hear their information whether it’s checking a shopping list, following a recipe or watching YouTube.

It’s also possible to check on the traffic conditions before you leave home via the Smart Display’s screen.

The system also uses Voice Match so the Smart Display can distinguish between up to six different people in your home.

Video calling is also possible with Google Duo to another Google smart speaker with screen like the recently announced Google Home Hub or a smartphone.

Users can also control their smart devices through the Lenovo Smart Display and even set routines like turning devices on or off when you arrive home or leave.

The high definition display can show users visual recipes, allow them to see their playlists on YouTube Music and Spotify and other popular services.

And the onboard 10W speaker is loud enough to fill the room with sound.

Of course, with Google Assistant onboard, the Lenovo Smart Display can also answer all of your questions and fill you in with the latest news and sport headlines.

The device’s display can also be turned into a digital frame and used to showcase your Google Photos.
The Lenovo Smart Display is available now in soft grey and bamboo and is priced at $399 (10-inch) and $299 (8-inch). It can be purchased from JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman and Officeworks.

Anyone who buys a Lenovo Smart Display will also receive as a bonus a Google Home Mini (valued at $79).
