Samsung expands its Bespoke appliances into built-in connected cooking range

Samsung has expanded its Bespoke home appliances into a cooking range which offer AI and wi-fi connectivity to simplify and speed up meal preparation.

Announced at IFA 2023 in Berlin, the new Samsung line-up includes ovens, cook tops, range hoods and dishwashers which are both functional and stylish.

The launch comes at a time when 66 per cent of Australians are choosing to cook more at home rather than eating out to save money.

The products are powered by Samsung’s SmartThings connectivity which allows users to take their cooking to another level thanks to innovative features, advanced technology and AI.

“We’re thrilled to bring further innovation to the kitchen, and for many, the heart of the home with Samsung’s new Cooking range,” said Jeremy Senior, Vice President, Consumer Electronics at Samsung Australia.

“As Australians increasingly seeks time-efficiencies, our aim is to continually evolve to meet consumers’ changing needs, by having multiple touchpoints within the home.

“With the launch of Samsung Cooking, we’re proud to facilitate a one brand connected home experience in Australia, and with that, play a role in redefining culinary exploration as Australians embrace the digital chef era.

“From remote monitoring and cooking through to recipe recommendation and meal planning, Australian households are set to experience culinary innovation with AI technology.”

Key Samsung Cooking range features will include:

 – Wi-Fi Connected: Users can remotely monitor and control their oven, cooktop and range hood from their smartphone – whether it be to pre-heat on the way home, through to auto-cook settings from the comfort of their couch.

– AI Pro Cooking: A built-in camera powered by AI can ensure end-to-end professional quality cooking. You can even share a timelapse of your cook.

– Dual Cook Flex: Some oven models will include two compartments that can be set to two different temperatures, as well as when multi-cooking a flexible door means one zone can be checked without interrupting the other  – providing both time and energy efficiencies (when only using the top half).

– Samsung Food: Also available from today, Samsung will launch Samsung Food, a personalised, AI-powered food and recipe app, to support Australians plan their weekly meals. Samsung Food will offer more than 160,000 recipes, acting as a personal assistant that helps Australians discover new dishes, create tailored meal plans and order ingredients online. The service will also help users control their cooking appliances and access to guided cooking experiences.

The Samsung built-in cooking range will go on sale in Australia from October 29, 2023, across www.samsung.com/au and selected retail partner stores including Harvey Norman and The Good Guys.
