Navman’s DriveDuo SUV combines dashcam and a GPS that can take you offroad

Navman has just unveiled its new DriveDuo SUV – a device that combines a GPS with special features for 4WD and SUV vehicles along with a dashcam so it can be your eyes and ears on the road.

Navman brings its considerable experience in the GPS space to the product to make not only your everyday driving easier but also includes more than 123,000km of tracks for drivers who want to do some off-road exploring.

And, with the built-in dashcam, you can film those adventures as well.

The DriveDuo SUV combines Navman’s MiVue dashcam technology with its MY Escape GPS and includes a number of additional features.

On the dashcam side, there’s an adjustable Super 2K camera for high-quality recordings and can also be paired with an optional rear dashcam for dual channel recording.

The device has a three-axis G Sensor to record any incidents with the video including GPS location plus time and date stamps.

Navman’s dashcam can also enable other safety features like Front Collision Warning Alert and Lane Departure Warning.

On the navigation side, there’s Larger Vehicle Routing which offers special guidance if you are driving larger vehicle as well as 4WD Off Road Routing to get you off the bitumen and into the bush.

Drivers will also receive spoken safety alerts, speed limit alerts and other warnings like sharp turns, steep descent or inclines and high wind areas plus driver fatigue alerts and a roadside assist function in the event of a breakdown.

The Navman GPS also comes with Live Traffic Updates, Bluetooth Handsfree plus the Lonely Planet Travel Guide and the Zomato Restaurant Guide.

The Navman DriveDuo SUV comes with a 16GB microSD card and a two-year warranty.

It is available now from all major electronics retailers and is priced at $479.
