Samsung reveals the new and improved Galaxy Watch Active 2

Samsung has just revealed the Galaxy Watch Active 2 – the latest member of the Galaxy Watch family – with a refined design and updated features to enhance health and wellness and maintain seamless connectivity.

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 will be available in two sizes – 44mm and 40mm – and in two styles – aluminium and stainless steel.

The device also includes a digital rotating bezel that can be controlled by running your finger around the edge of the screen both clockwise and anticlockwise so users can scroll between screens and easily access apps and other features.

Samsung’s Galaxy Watch Active 2 is designed to be easily integrated into your digital life as well as help you reach your wellness goals, see all of your notifications at a glance and even help you get a better night’s sleep.

Also onboard Galaxy Watch Active 2 is My Style colour extracting algorithm which allows users to customize the watch’s face to suit their outfit.

Simply take a photo of your outfit and choose from five different colour patterns and the watch face will change to match.

On the health and wellness front, the Galaxy Watch Active 2, is well-credentialled and can manually track more than 39 workouts and seven of them automatically including running, walking, cycling, rowing machine, elliptical machine and dynamic workouts.

There is also a new running coach to monitor your pace in real time along with seven running programs.

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 also has your back with tracking your stress levels and providing access to guided meditation programs with one of the leading apps – Calm.

It also has 4G LTE connection which makes it possible to make and receive calls on the watch as well as track and respond to social media without your phone.

Spotify users can also stay connected to their music through the Galaxy Watch Active 2’s cellular connection.

When paired to a Galaxy smartphone, you can also control the device’s camera through the watch.

With Wireless PowerShare, Galaxy phone users can also recharge the Galaxy Watch Active 2 on the move.

Other areas of the Samsung ecosystem you can access from the watch include the Samsung Health app and SmartThings to control and monitor your connected devices.

You can also use Bixby from your wrist as well to ask for information, start a workout and find out the weather.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 is available in 40mm and 44mm in aluminum in cloud silver, aqua black and pink gold while the stainless steel comes in silver, black and gold.

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 will be available from October 8.
