TCL showcases new display technologies in latest range of smartphones and tablets

TCL has unveiled its new 40 Series of smartphones which offer quality and affordability alongside its updated NXTPAPER tablets featuring even brighter screens while still protecting the user’s eye health.

Revealed at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the new TCL products demonstrate the company’s evolving display technologies including TCL NXTURBO and TCL NXTPAPER 2.0.

“Our customers are at the heart of all we do. We listen to feedback, and as a result have introduced major performance and display upgrades with TCL NXTURBO and TCL NXTPAPER 2.0,” said Aaron Zhang, Chief Executive Officer at TCL Communication.

“These upgrades mean devices like TCL NXTPAPER 11 and the new TCL 40 Series smartphones are market leading while supporting our goal of democratising technology.

“Plus, with the support of our strong carrier partnerships, they also help us to deliver on our mission of providing 5G for everyone.”

TCL 40 SERIES

There are three new devices in the TCL 40 series smartphone line-up – TCL 40 XE 5G, TCL 40 X 5G and TCL 40 XL.

All these new smartphones offer 5G connectivity but without the huge price tag.

The TCL 40 XE 5G has an impressive 6.56-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 5000mAh battery and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G processor.

The TCL 40 X 5G has a 50-megapixel triple AI camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing selfie camera plus the same huge 5000mAh battery you get with the TCL 40 XE 5G so you can be snapping all day and enjoying all your favourite content on the move.

These two smartphones include TCL’s new NXTURBO display technology which improves GPU performance by 30 per cent but reduces power consumption by up to 17 per cent.

TCL NXTURBO also increases graphics processing algorithms for smoother scrolling and better gaming performance.

It also improves live streaming an online video playing by increasing the device’s rendering efficiency by up to 50 per cent.

The TCL 40 XL provides true bang for your buck with a 6.75-inch TCL NXTVISION display, 50-megapixel triple AI camera system and a Helio G37 octa-core processor.

TCL NXTPAPER 11

Featuring NXTPAPER 2.0, the TCL NXTPAPER 11 has an 11-inch 2K display with AI Visual Boost so colours appear bolder and more realistic.

The new NXTPAPER 2.0 display offers 150 per cent more brightness than the previous generation with up the 500 nits brightness.

The display technology exceeds certified levels of blue light reduction to maintain eye health.

The device also has automatic light sensors which can adjust the colour temperature based on your lighting conditions to offer an even more comfortable viewing and reading experience.

TCL TAB 11

TCL has also launched a new conventional tablet to take your entertainment to another level with its 11-inch 2K TCL NXTVISION display and quad speaker system.

It is only 6.9mm thick so it can fit in any bag and is perfect for using on the go.

Whether you’re using the device at home or on the move, TCL Tab 11 also has LTE and non-LTE options.

The new Range of TCL smartphones and tablets is expected to launch in Australia in May.
