logitechhdcam3Logitech’s has just launched a new product – the TV Cam HD – which can allow Skype video calls from the comfort of your lounge room.

The device has built in wi-fi and can also link directly to your broadband connection with an Ethernet cable.

The only thing the Skype-certified TV Cam HD requires to connect to your TV is a HDMI port.

There is no additional software or a computer required to connect and the bundled remote control makes it easy to sign into your Skype account and access all of your contacts.

Then you’re ready to take advantage of the Logitech TV Cam HD’s high definition camera to connect with family and friends.

And with the incoming video taking up the entire TV screen it’s going to feel like the person you’re talking to is right there in the room with you.

The device’s camera has a wide-angle lens which was developed in conjunction with German precision optics company Carl Zeiss so it can fit the whole family in on the video call if needed.

There’s also a 2x zoom so you can focus on any part of the room.

The Logitech TV Cam HD also features four built-in microphones for added noise and echo reduction.
