Samsung’s SmartThings Station lets you take control of your home’s smart devices

Samsung Is determined to help its customers make their homes even smarter with the introduction of its new SmartThings Station – a new hub they can control your smart devices and offer wireless charging.

The SmartThings Station is easy to set up and is compatible with a wide range of smart home products including upcoming Matter devices.

And it’s all done with the simplicity their customers have come to expect from Samsung.

“Having a smarter home shouldn’t be complicated or expensive. So we wanted to create SmartThings Station as a simple, reliable and expandable smart home hub,” said Jaeyeon Jung, Executive Vice President and Head of SmartThings, Device Platform Centre at Samsung Electronics.

“The number of devices in a connected home continues to grow, especially in light of the recent Matter standard launch. We’re proud to play a role in making it easier to embrace this exciting technology.”

When setting up the SmartThings Station for the first time, a message will appear on the user’s Samsung Galaxy smartphone to guide them through the connection process.

Users can also onboard devices with a simple scan of a QR code with their smartphone camera.

The device will bring together multiple smart home products including thermostats, lighting and power outlets, smart switches and other devices connected on your home’s network, so they all work together in harmony.

It will also be possible to automate preset routines without the need to control individual devices manually.

For example, users may set up a shortcut to turn off all the lights when it’s bedtime, close the blinds to lower the temperature or turn on the TV and dim the lights when it’s time to watch a movie.

SmartThings Station can also help you locate misplaced devices as well as keep track of registered devices which can include smartphones, tablets, watches and earphones.
