DJI’s new Ronin stabilizers make it easier to shoot even smoother videos

DJI, known for its excellent drones and camera technology, has released new Ronin stabilizers to help content creators shoot silky smooth videos with a range of cameras.

Whether you’re a professional or a hobbyist, the new The DJI Ronin RS 3 and RS 3 Pro stabilizers, literally do all the heavy lifting so you can concentrate on what’s in front of the camera instead of everything that’s connected to it.

This third-generation model has a new automated axis lock system, a new stabilisation algorithm which offers a 20 per cent improvement and one-tap calibration.

“The needs and requirements of the content community are extremely important to us,” said Paul Pan, Senior Product Line Manager at DJI.

“Ever since the introduction of the first Ronin back in 2014, we’ve continually gained feedback from industry professionals on how we can enhance our products to cater to their evolving needs.

“Implementing this feedback, we’ve optimized the design, stabilization, and gimbal control to create next-generation, highly effective, and reliable stabilizers designed for unparalleled efficiency.”

DJI RS 3 – $799

The DJI RS 3 ways just 1.3kg but can support up to a 3kg load – that’s more than enough to support the most popular cameras on the market.

There is a redesigned axis locking system which means by turning on the gimbal it automatically releases and unfolds to allow the user to be shooting within seconds.

It also has position memory so there will be no need for repetitive balancing.

Also onboard is a Bluetooth shutter control which means you can start recording and stop with just a tap.

And any camera that’s been previously paired will automatically reconnect.

There is a larger 1.8-inch OLED full colour touchscreen seeking access the gimbal settings easier than ever.

The DJI RS3 has a new battery grip which provides up to 12 hours of use.

The battery can also be charged independently or even while it’s being used so you can shoot non-stop.

DJI RS 3 PRO – $1,299

The new DJI RS 3 Pro can handle up to 4.5kg to easily meet your shooting needs.

Its arms are made from one uncut piece of carbon fibre which makes it both lighter and stronger.

This has the same features as the RS3 including automated access locks, Bluetooth shutter button and a 1.8-inch OLED touchscreen.

The DJI RS 3 Pro includes the Ronin 4D advanced LiDAR focusing technology which enables autofocus on manual lenses.
