When it comes to wire free earphones, the ideal scenario would be a smaller earphone that still produces a big sound and the BlueAnt Pump Air 2 Wireless Microbuds fit that description.

Australian company BlueAnt Wireless has come up with one of the world’s smallest and lightest wireless earbuds which still managed to fit in 6mm drivers to deliver impressive audio.

Each bud fits comfortably in your ear and, despite their small size, they still sit securely in place.

The buds also have a Comfortseal tip to ensure a perfect fit. There are actually seven different sized tips in the box to make sure you find the one that’s right for you.

The tip also serves as a way of isolating noise so all you hear is the music.

The BlueAnt Pump Air 2 Wireless Microbuds have Bluetooth 5.0 onboard so they have a decent range but also connect really quickly.

When you put them on, they actually tell you when they’re connected.

Now let’s talk about the sound quality.

These little earbuds really punch above our weight and blew us away with their quality.

In terms of clarity, we heard plenty of detail.

And for those who love a healthy fix of bass – you’re not going to be disappointed with the BlueAnt Pump Air 2 Wireless Microbuds.

There are simple touch controls on board as well as built-in microphones to make and receive calls.

You have to take care without a run because the noise isolation can cut you off from the outside world if you’re listening at high volumes.

And there was no way we could engage the onboard microphones as you can on more expensive earphones to hear what’s going on around you.

We just needed to turn the volume down a touch so we could hear cars and traffic and other things around us

We found the touch controls a little fiddly at first but it didn’t take as long before we mastered with a single click on either bud to pause and play again, two clicks to go to the next track and three clicks to access Siri or Google Assistant.

It doesn’t matter where you use the BlueAnt Pump Air 2 Wireless Microbuds – they are sweatproof so you can wear them in the gym or on a run or during any intense workout.

The battery lasts for up to four hours, but if you like listening at full volume that will probably come down to about three and a half hours.

The included charging case can also add a further 12 hours to your listening time.

Yes, battery life is better on other models but, given how small the BlueAnt Pump Air 2 Wireless Microbuds are, those four hours are not too bad.
