Canon launches PIXMA G660 ink tank colour photo printer to unleash your images

Canon has announced the new PIXMA G660 – the latest in the company’s refillable ink tank colour range designed home photo printing.

The Canon PIXMA G660 has a fine print head and a set of six ChromaLife 100 dye-based inks so you can produce vivid prints of your photographs.

It also comes with the MegaTank ink bottles which means you get high-capacity printing and very low maintenance which adds up to a value solution for printing your photos at home.

The six dye-based inks include two new dedicated red and grey dyes which offer a wider colour range, deeper shaded areas along with rich vibrant colours to create a strong contrast.

With the Canon PIXMA G660, customers can use a wide range of high-quality media including conventional glossy and semi-gloss paper to produce stunning prints.

This printer gives photography enthusiasts the ability to free their images from their memory cards and print borderless photos up to A4 size.

Canon’s latest inkjet printers feature MegaTank ink bottles which is enough to print up to 3800 borderless 4 x 6 photo prints.

That’s a saving of up to 94 per cent on the cost of ink when printing 4 x 6 borderless images with ink priced at 4.7 cents per 4 x 6 print.

And it prints quickly too.

One 6 x 4 photo can be printed in just 47 seconds with a 100-sheet feeder so you have uninterrupted printing of your images.

The printer has foolproof key-type nozzles which is unique to each colour so you can’t accidentally fill the tank with the wrong colour.

The printer also has a two line LCD display to make managing the printer easier while wi-fi connectivity means photographers can connect their computers, cameras and smart devices via the Canon print app or Apple AirPrint to enjoy a seamless experience.

The Canon PIXMA G660 has a recommended retail price of $599 and will be available at the end of April from Harvey Norman.
